Built in 1879 as a one-room schoolhouse, this charming home has been lovingly transformed into a five-room sanctuary that perfectly blends heritage charm with modern comfort. Original wood paneling bears students’ initials, and a cozy wood stove warms the space. Set on a half-acre surrounded by crown land and trails it’s just 25 mins from Beaver Valley Ski Club, Owen Sound, Thornbury, and Meaford. The combination of privacy, natural beauty, and historic charm makes Lily Oak a home like no other.

The space

Lily Oak is surrounded by beautiful woodlands, including a trail system though it is not consistently maintained.  There are no neighbours in sight and many of our evening are spent gathering under the stars around the bonfire pit.

Lily Oak has lots of open concept space, a playroom/TV room, large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a single bedroom and comfortable attic space with two double beds.  There is space to comfortably sleep 8 people. 

Other things to note

Please note that we intentionally do not have wifi at Lily Oak. There is decent reception though for most cellular services.
